Taylor Swift broke Spotify, Amazon, and Apple Music records on Friday with her new song "I Knew It, I Knew You.".
Spotify announced that the singer-songwriter's new single has become the most-streamed country song in a single day by a female artist in the platform's history. The company announced the achievement on Friday on its X account.
Apple Music said the song set the streaming service's all-time record for the most plays of a soundtrack on its first day, and also became the platform's most popular country single of 2026 to date.
On Amazon Music, the country hit had the highest 24-hour stream rate of any song on the platform in 2026.
The country song will be featured in the animated film "Toy Story 5," which is scheduled to premiere in theaters on June 19. Earlier Friday, Swift also released a music video for the new track, hinting that the song is dedicated to cowgirl Jessie.
The video first shows Jessie's relationships with her fellow toys, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, from previous films. It ends with a red-haired girl resembling Jessie playing with a cowboy doll on a tire swing and falling into a pile of leaves. Some of this footage appears to be from the unreleased fifth film.
The song "I Knew It, I Knew You" returns the pop star to her country roots. Its sound is reminiscent of her self-titled debut album, "Fearless," and the upbeat tracks from "Folklore." Swift said she wrote the song as soon as she got home from an early screening of "Toy Story 5.".
