Sam Levinson is ending the series. «"Euphoria"» , confirming that tonight's Season 3 finale was the final episode of the Zendaya-starring drama.
«"In terms of the story we set out to tell, which is about addiction and its consequences, I feel like this is the end," Levinson said in an interview with the NYT published Sunday evening. The series' conclusion has also been confirmed by HBO.

Following the brutal death of Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi) in the penultimate episode, the series' lead character died of a fentanyl overdose in the finale. «"Euphoria »" , Rue Bennett, played by Zendaya. Also, in real life, actor Angus Cloud died while writing the third season.
«"It was a way to honor Angus's memory and pray for the future," Levinson told the NYT about creating the finale as a tribute to the late actor.

"As for his future plans, we'll discuss our thoughts with him. But right now, he's focused on finishing season three and getting it out the door.".
The TV series "Euphoria"« is concluding its run with three eight-episode seasons that spanned seven years, as well as two specials that aired during the pandemic to bridge the gap between the first and second seasons. Zendaya won Emmy Awards for the first two seasons and is again considered a top contender this year.
