In 2011, a California dispatcher answered another call. The woman was surprised to hear a familiar voice on the line—its timbre and intonation reminded her of her husband's best friend. She soon proved herself right—it was him. The man was claiming to have gotten into a fight with his wife, who died after he repeatedly hit her in the head.
His purpose in calling 911 was to confess to his crime and to admit what he was about to do… commit suicide out of guilt. The dispatcher did everything she could to talk to the man, but was unable to dissuade him.
As the police were reaching his home, a deafening gunshot rang out—the man had committed suicide. When the police arrived, the woman was found to be alive. She had recovered physically, but what had become of her mental state remains anyone's guess.
7. A monstrous murder
As usual, the dispatcher answered the phone. It was Donald Spirt from Bell. After the man's confession, the staff at the Gilchrist County (Florida) office were horrified… He had confessed to a heinous crime.
Donald's voice was calm, which surprised the dispatcher, as callers are usually literally in a panic. He greeted her politely, asked how the dispatcher was doing, and then confessed: "I just shot my daughter and my grandchildren. They're all dead." He then gave his address and asked for the dispatchers to come.
When police arrived at the address, Donald shot himself right on the porch of his home. He had indeed shot his 28-year-old daughter, Sarah, and his children, Caleb, Kylie, Jonathan, Destiny, Brandon, and three-month-old Alanna, inside the house with a .45-caliber pistol.
Interesting fact: The investigation established that Donald Spirt killed his 8-year-old son while hunting more than 10 years ago—the incident was ruled an accident. Furthermore, police had a 2008 statement from his daughter, Sarah, in which she claimed her father had beaten her during pregnancy.
6. Missing in action
This call was different from all the others. The man didn't know what to do, so he dialed 911. He reported something crawling wildly in his yard… Something he couldn't identify. When the dispatcher asked, "How can you describe this creature?" he replied, "I don't know, it looks like a huge man.".
During the conversation, it emerged that someone had previously killed his dog. Soon, the man shouted into the phone, "Send someone! This thing is right in front of me, and it's two meters long!" The human-looking creature was dressed all in black, smiling, and pressed against the windowpane... What kind of big guy could this be?

5. Unknown outside the window

Frightened but still calm, the man said a hooded stranger, about 30 years old, had been staring at his window for half an hour. He had been filming his call, and the video shows he was telling the truth. The man gave his address and then said that if the police went straight down the street, they would run into the suspicious man.
Someone on the other end of the line said something, after which the man walked away from the window. The end of this story is unknown, but we hope the police arrived in time and managed to find out what the stranger wanted.
4. Furious Monkeys
Encounters with ferocious apes can have varied outcomes—some may escape with scratches, while others may fall into a coma. Chimpanzee attacks on humans are not uncommon—in 2009, Charla Nash was blinded and lost both arms after a monkey attack, and in 2005, James Davis was attacked by chimpanzees, requiring over 60 surgeries.
A woman called from 241 Rock, Rockrimmon Road. She didn't explain anything, but immediately started screaming, "Send the police! Send the police quickly!" During the conversation, it turned out that her friend had been attacked and torn to pieces by a monkey. The dispatcher asked her not to hang up and stay on the line until help arrived. The woman began crying and kept repeating, "Please, send someone quickly, please..."

3. Sincere confession

An unusual call was made to 911—the man didn't need help, but rather, was asking for protection from others. The serial killer confessed to killing Kimberly Compton first, and that she was on the third floor. The killer wept and couldn't understand the reason for his atrocities. He begged for help, or else someone else would die.
The killer hung up. It turned out that the caller was serial killer Paul Michael Stefani. His distinctive voice was whiny. After the murders, he would anonymously call the police, reporting his crimes in a squeaky voice. Stefani murdered three women in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area.
2. Someone without skin

1. Parents' quarrel
This call is arguably the most terrifying, as it was a six-year-old girl, Lisa Floyd, who called 911 in tears. The child was extremely distressed by her parents' argument, and even the emergency services workers were in tears. Lisa asked for the police to be called because her parents were fighting. Another child could be heard crying in the background.
It became clear from the conversation that this wasn't the first time an argument had escalated into a fight. Her parents always fight because her stepfather goes to clubs and drinks alcohol. Lisa was in tears—she'd seen her stepfather beat her mother. The dispatcher tried to calm the girl down—she only had to wait a little while, and the police were on their way.
