The couple, who currently star in the Bravo reality show "« In the city"» , is expecting their first child, a representative for the couple confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE. Yvonne and Nick celebrated the good news with a "Birthday Party" themed baby shower on Saturday, May 30.« Where the wild animals live"» .
«"We are incredibly excited to become parents and begin this new chapter in our lives," the couple told PEOPLE. "Expanding our family is something we've dreamed of for so long, and we feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by so much love and support as we prepare to welcome our little one.".

«Becoming parents is a very big step, and like any couple, we had a lot of discussions about what the right time would be for us,» they continue. «This season, the program In the City You'll see us making these decisions together, but where we are now, we're incredibly excited about what's ahead.".
Yvonne says they chose the theme for their baby shower because it felt "nostalgic, whimsical, and whimsical," which is exactly how they wanted their little one's childhood to be.

«"It perfectly suited the holiday spirit and, frankly, the energy of our vibrant group of friends," she says. "I've worked in hospitality marketing for most of my adult life. And while Nick and I met (like most of us millennials in New York) at the Acme Club years ago, planning parties and events is definitely my element, where I can be wild yet playful, fun, and still feel modern and sophisticated.".

«"Plus, it created a lot of fun fashion moments. I asked all the girls to dress in jungle style to show off their wild side," the expectant mother adds.
Yvonne's baby shower was attended by some of the most important women in her life. Her mother, Linda, and mother-in-law, Bonnie, were there, along with friends from every stage of her life.

«"From my best friends since I was 13 to the friendships I made in New York, including my best friend Lindsay Hubbard, and of course my co-stars Georgina Ferziel, Lexi Sandin, Whitney Franceway, Danielle Olivera, and Katie DeLuca," she says. "It really felt like a celebration of friendship, as well as a celebration of our baby. The kids joined in later, which made it even more fun and festive.".

Yvonne's best friends organized the event and planned everything—she just asked that the day be fun.
«"I'm one of the last moms in my group of friends to become a mom, and I wanted it to feel more like a 'mommys having a blast' celebration than a traditional baby shower," she shares. "I wanted everyone to dance, laugh, have fun, and celebrate motherhood and female friendship the only way I know how—with joy, energy, and a great party.".

There was a cocktail bar called "Wild Things," where drinks were served in extravagant animal-shaped vessels, as well as a buffet table with all of Yvonne's favorite appetizers. At the end of the evening, guests were treated to pizza from Joe's Pizza.

«"Honestly, seeing all my favorite people in one room celebrating this moment with us was incredibly touching," says Yvonne. "The energy was amazing from start to finish, and I loved watching everyone just relax, dance on the tables, and have fun together.".
