The song will appear in the latest installment of the beloved animated franchise, and it's something of a dream come true. As proof, Swift shared an adorable video of herself as a child dressed as cowgirl Jessie, who captivated us all with her lasso at the beginning of her journey in cartoon "Toy Story 2"« .
«"Writing this song was both a musical departure and a homecoming for me," Swift wrote on social media. "Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge, but at the same time, it felt completely natural. And being a kid who loved Toy Story from the age of five until now… it's an adventure I plan to be on until infinity and beyond.".
Swift expressed gratitude to the "brilliant" director and screenwriter "« Toy Stories 5" to Andrew Stanton, "for imagining me in this role many years ago when he was writing the script for this new film." And she thanked the "incomparable" Randy Newman for the "magnificent soundscape of songs and soundtracks he painstakingly created over many years." Newman, she continued, "created the world of the musical «Toy Story »" and we are lucky to live in it.".
The "we" includes Swift and her frequent collaborator, producer, and "friend" Jack Antonoff, who worked on the single, which she previously admitted was "inspired by the fiery" Jessie.
