For the second year in a row, Love Island USA has eliminated a contestant from the villa after posts surfaced on social media in which he used a racial slur.
Vasana Montgomery will no longer be a part of the reality dating show, which returns to Peacock on June 2. The news comes just two days after the Season 8 cast was announced, repeating an unfortunate pattern: last year, Yulisa Escobar was booted from the show in the second episode due to videos of her using the same offensive language. Later this season, Sierra Ortega left the show for a similar reason: she used a racist term toward Asians that she said she "didn't even realize" was offensive. .

Two different videos are currently circulating online showing Montgomery using the N-word. In one, she says "Knock knock, nigga" while apparently playing a shooter game in an arcade. In the other, she's sitting in a car rapping along to a song that uses the word. Both videos appear to have been originally posted to private accounts and only became publicly viewable after the cast was announced, meaning they weren't visible during Peacock's review process.
Montgomery, 25, hails from Beaverton, Oregon. In a teaser announcing the Peacock cast, she says, "I think I'm the perfect fit. I own my own business; I live alone; I have a dog. If you asked my friends what my type of woman is, they'd show you a map of the world.".
New episodes of "Love Island USA" will air daily during its premiere week, then every day except Wednesday. Hosted by Ariana Madics, with Iain Stirling providing the voiceover. Executive producers include David George, Adam Sher, Jordana Hochman, Bernie Shaffer, Ben Thursby-Palmer, James Barker, Blake Garrett, Courtney Rosenthal, Sophie Brown, Richard Coles, Mike Spencer, Tom Gould, Ali Hill, and Martin Oxley.
