You won't want to limit yourself to just one concert.
For those unfamiliar, Metallica is holding a 24-date concert series called "Life Burns Faster," 12 of which will take place "without repeats" on weekends from October 2026 to March 2027 at the Las Vegas Sphere.
This means two shows - one on Thursdays and one on Saturdays - where they perform completely unique sets consisting of fan-favorite hits and lesser-known compositions from their legendary repertoire.
While we don't yet know what the setlists for the Sphere shows will look like, James Hetfield and company used the two-show format as part of their ongoing M72 Tour, which began in 2023.
As our observations at Set List FM showed, the first Thursday night usually featured heavy metal hits such as "Master of Puppets", "Seek & Destroy", "Sad But True", "Nothing Else Matters" and "Creeping Death", among many others.
The nine-time Grammy Award winners often save such sure-fire hits as "Enter Sandman," "Ride the Lightning," "Whiplash," "Blackened," and, of course, "One" for the second night.
So, is it worth going to both Metallica concerts at Sphere?

Kerrang! magazine reported that "after 32 songs and over four hours of music over two stunning nights, more than 50,000 people still demanded a continuation.".

Metallica at Mohegan Sun Arena
In addition to performing as part of the residency, Metallica will also help the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, celebrate the venue's 25th anniversary in November.
This will be the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees' first performance in Connecticut since July 1998, when they headlined the Meadows Music Theater in Hartford as part of their "Poor Re-Touring Me Tour.".
