Janet Jackson will head to one of Britain's most famous royal venues for her only UK concert in 2026.
The pop and R&B legend will perform at Sandringham Royal Estate in Norfolk on Wednesday, August 19, as part of the HeritageLive festival. HeritageLive announced that Jackson will open the Sandringham series with special guests Wyclef Jean and Soul II Soul.
The renowned pop star's invitation to the festival will take place at a location better known as one of the royal family's private estates. Sandringham is closely associated with King Charles II and the late Queen Elizabeth II, giving Jackson's status as "musical royalty" an obvious added weight.
Jackson will perform at Sandringham on August 19.
The Sandringham concert is scheduled to be Jackson's only UK performance this year. Entertainment Focus reported that the performance is scheduled the day before Lionel Richie's HeritageLive concert at the same estate.
The Sandringham concert schedule for 2026 now includes Jackson on August 19, Ritchie on August 20, Ricky Martin on August 22 and Eric Clapton on August 23.
Wyclef Jean and Soul II Soul will join the lineup.
Jackson won't be performing alone. Wyclef Jean and Soul II Soul are scheduled as special guests at the Sandringham concert.
Wyclef Jean is best known as a founding member of the Fugees and later as a solo artist, producer, and member of various projects. The British collective Soul II Soul, led by Jazzy B, became a major force in club and R&B culture in the late 1980s and early 1990s thanks to songs like "Back to Life.".
With the addition of guest artists, the evening will feature a wider range of R&B, soul, hip-hop and pop music, rather than being limited to just classic pop acts.
Advance ticket sales will begin in June.
According to Entertainment Focus, tickets for Jackson's Sandringham concert will go on pre-sale on Tuesday, June 2, at 9 a.m.
Fans must pre-register on the pre-sale page. HeritageLive's announcement states that fans who don't register are unlikely to be able to purchase tickets, as the pre-sale is expected to sell out.
The ad also lists discounted multi-day festival tickets, VIP packages, and glamping or RV sites.
HeritageLive called Jackson "musical royalty.".
Giles Cooper of HeritageLive Festival said organisers were "absolutely delighted" to include Jackson in the Sandringham Festival programme in 2026.
«"Janet is a true member of the music elite: a performer whose influence, repertoire, and stage presence span generations," Cooper said in a statement published by Entertainment Focus.
At Sandringham, this phrase isn't just promotional lingo. Jackson is being ushered into the royal estate as a pop star with a catalog of songs that has shaped dance music, R&B, and MTV-era performances for decades.
Announcement of the album's inclusion «Rhythm Nation 1814» The Grammy Hall of Fame coincided with the year the album was inducted. Entertainment Focus reported that Jackson, in her acceptance speech, described «Rhythm Nation» as a movement built on love and unity.
The 1989 album remains one of Jackson's defining works, with hits such as "Miss You Much," "Rhythm Nation," "Escapade," and "Black Cat.".
