The son of actor James Handy's girlfriend has been arrested in connection with his murder, authorities said Thursday.
Michael Gledhill, 44, was arrested on suspicion of murder, Los Angeles police said Thursday.
Police said officers responded to a radio call about an "unknown problem" in the 19200 block of Erwin Street in Tarzana, Los Angeles, around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. This occurred after the 911 caller said, "I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.".
When police arrived at the scene, they found 81-year-old Handy unconscious in the courtyard of the home with a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
Gledhill flagged down police arriving at the scene, telling them "he's the man they were looking for," the press release said. He was later arrested and taken to the Van Nuys jail, with bail set at $2 million.
According to police, Gledhill lives in the house with his mother.
