A new documentary, "Mi Familia: Sen Dog and the American Dream," is in production, chronicling the life and career of Cypress Hill co-founder Sen Dog "Sen Dog" Reyes.
According to the official plot description, "Mi Famillia" tells "the untold story of the Senas' American dream, from his family's humble origins in Cuba to the crime-ridden streets of South Central Los Angeles to hip-hop superstardom—how they fled the communist revolution in Cuba to face a new nightmare when their adopted home, South Los Angeles, was overtaken by gang violence in the 1980s, and the extraordinary series of events that led to the birth of Cypress Hill.".

The documentary features hip-hop and rock icons such as B-Real, Slash, Chuck D, DMC, George Clinton, Will.i.am, Emilio Estefan, Pitbull and DJ Matt Pinfield.
«"Mi Familia is a truly unique experience that reconnects me with my Cuban roots and our family's musical heritage, which stretches back centuries," said Reyes. "It also brings me closer to the many musical icons who have played a vital role in breaking down barriers and merging genres and cultures, and I am deeply honored that they are represented throughout my creative journey in this film.".
Reyes co-wrote "Mi Familia" and produced it with Christina Bunker for Freedom Village Films. Director Christian Jean also co-wrote the documentary and produced it under the Bon Accord Picture Company banner. Sam Okun serves as executive producer.
In 1991, Reyes, along with B-Real (Louis Freese) and producer DJ Muggs (Lawrence Muggerud), founded the iconic rap group Cypress Hill. Later, in 1994, percussionist Eric "Bobo" Correa joined. The group was an integral part of the West Coast hip-hop scene in the late '80s and '90s, known for its aggressive, bass-heavy sound and open love of marijuana smoking. Reyes is also a founding member of the metal bands SX-10 and Powerflo.
Reyes and Cypress Hill are represented by The Team and Primary Wave; Freedom Village Films and Bon Accord Picture Company are represented by Rosen Law Group; Okun is represented by CAA and Lathem & Watkins, as well as Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
