Katherine Schwarzenegger is enjoying motherhood.
Although the podcast host BDA Baby became a stepmother to her 13-year-old son Jack after marrying Chris Pratt, their third child, Ford , born in November 2025, is her first son with the Marvel star.
Besides Ford, the 36-year-old actress and actor from Guardians of the Galaxy« , who married in 2019, are also parents to a five-year-old Laila and three years old Eloise .
In a new Instagram post last week, Katherine announced that she officially had a "velcro baby" as Ford had completely transformed into a mama's boy.
She first shared a photo of the baby lying in her arms, followed by several more photos of him sitting on her hip and other shots of him walking around, showing off his fast-growing light-red hair.
«"I'm in the Velcro era and I'm loving it," she captioned the post, and fans were quick to respond in the comments with their excitement.

«"Ah, this is the best era," wrote one user, with others following suit: "Absolutely the best—and that hair!!!" and "This is the best era! My son is the same. I'm loving every minute of it," as well as: "I see the love in your eyes, mom. Nothing compares to this.".
Katherine and Chris, who began dating in 2018 after reportedly being introduced by her mother, Maria Shriver, split their time between Montecito and Pacific Palisades while building a new home in Brentwood.

Last year, Katherine shared how she and Chris prepared for their wedding and for her becoming a stepmother to Jack, including by seeking help from a foster care specialist. "It helped me tremendously and also helped me better understand my role as a foster parent," she said during an appearance with her husband on the Parenting & You With Dr. Shefali podcast.

«"Just like raising children, there are no instructions for raising adopted children. Because I've been fortunate enough to have been in both roles. Raising adopted children is especially challenging because you're not a parent, a nanny, or a caregiver. You have responsibilities in all of those areas, but you're neither," she added.

Chris also recently revealed that he attended marriage counseling before his wedding, specifically the Catholic practice of premarital counseling (Pre-Cana). Speaking with his good friend Rob Lowe on his SiriusXM podcast, Literally! With Rob Lowe, Chris explained, "Part of the wedding preparation at St. Monica's involves premarital counseling," adding, "We went through about six sessions with this guy, who, by the way, was the best.".
Chris recounted how the priest advised them to work through potentially conflicting topics in advance, even things like the beginning and end of the Christmas celebration. "It's like 300 potential landmines that can be defusal in advance. That way, if you have an issue, you discuss it and work through it," he said. "If you agree, you move on. But if there are areas where you disagree, you discuss them and work on understanding why you hold that [belief]?"«
