Tom Holland said that collaborating with Christopher Nolan on «Odyssey» was "the work of his life," but he now admits he had to have a "very uncomfortable" conversation about his commitments to «Spider-Man, to achieve career excellence.

«"I told Chris, 'Look, I want to do this movie, but if I'm going to do it, I'm going to have to call Sony and have a really tough conversation,'" Holland explained. He added that Sony agreed to push creators of Spider-Man« to accommodate Holland's wishes, and also because they trusted Nolan to keep his word regarding the production schedule.„ Odyssey “.
«"I think one of the reasons Sony was happy with this move is that Chris has a reputation for always saying, 'This movie isn't going to take five months, and we're not going to lose Tom for two years,'" Holland said. "With any other director, the conversation might have been a little different.".
