The executive producer of the eight-part series stars Grace Van Patten ("Tell Me Lies") as an American student who is jailed for murder just weeks after arriving in Italy to study abroad. The series follows Amanda's struggle to prove her innocence.

Amanda's husband and children
Amanda is married to writer Christopher Robinson. The couple began dating in 2015 after meeting at a book launch.
Christopher knew Amanda was involved in the scandal, but he wasn't aware of the details. "He thought it had something to do with someone being thrown out of a window," Amanda told The Guardian.

The couple married two years later, in December 2017.
In a 2017 interview with People magazine, Amanda said of her chosen one: "I hope that I have a partner with whom I can continue to conquer the world... and I love Chris very much and feel like he is my partner.".
The couple has two children: daughter Eureka Muse Knox-Robinson, born in 2021, and son Echo Knox-Robinson, born in September 2023.
Although Amanda tries to keep her children out of the public eye, she often posts photos of them on Instagram - and they look a lot like their mother, especially with their long brown hair.

In one adorable photo posted in April, Christopher and Amanda hold their babies: Eureka has long braided hair and Echo's hair is pulled back into a ponytail.
Amanda, who loves spending time outdoors, shared several photos of the family enjoying walks in the woods and trips to the beach, although she usually doesn't show her children's faces.

As reported by The Guardian , Amanda lives in a "creative forest community where differences are respected and creativity is encouraged." According to People , her children attend an outdoor kindergarten .
