Food Network fans were delighted by Bobby Flay's touching birthday message for Brooke Williamson.
In March 2025, news broke that the celebrity chefs' friendship had blossomed into romance. Both had previously been married and have children with previous partners: Flay has a daughter, Sophie, with his second wife, Kate Connelly, and Williamson has a son, Hudson, with her ex-husband, Nick Roberts.
On Saturday, August 15, Flay posted on Instagram to celebrate Williamson's 48th birthday. "Happy birthday to the most talented chef in the universe, @chefbrookew," he wrote alongside photos of himself and his girlfriend. "She's so sweet too! Love.".
Fans expressed their love for Flay's birthday post in the comments and sent their own congratulations to Williamson. "Happy birthday @chefbrookew!!!!! You and Mr. Flay are absolutely adorable together!!!! He needs to propose... Ahem, @bobbyflay," wrote one user. Another added, "Happy birthday Brooke!! The couple previously revealed their plans to marry during a joint interview on Elvis Duran's "The Morning Show"« in March. "I wouldn't do that to her," Flay said of remarriage. Williamson, for her part, added: "I don't attach too much importance to marriage, I consider it a necessity... It's a matter for discussion, and we both have to be on the same page, and we are.".

Flay went on to explain why he gave Williamson a diamond ring despite not being interested in marriage. "Before I gave her the ring, I said, 'I just want to make sure, I want to talk to you about this again. Please. I'm sorry we keep talking about this. I just want to make sure that marriage isn't something you want to do again, because I don't think I could do it again.' And she said, 'No. Absolutely not. I'm totally fine with never getting married again,'" he told People.
He continued, "I said, 'Okay, great. In that case, I've got you a gift.' She opened it, and I said, 'I think, just for fun, you should wear it on the hand opposite the one you wear your engagement ring on.'".
