December 10th marks the launch of Simon's new boy band project. The group was created by the music mogul as part of the Netflix show "The Next Act." Their goal is to become the next big boy band, following in the footsteps of One Direction. However, their journey has had a somewhat rocky start.

The group consists of Danny, Josh Olliver, Cruz Lee-Ojo, Hendrik Kristofferson, John Fadare, Nicholas Alves and Shawn Hayden.

Danny recently found himself at the center of a controversy. Several social media users accused him of "misogyny." Some claimed he "bombarded them with compliments," cheated on them, and treated them disrespectfully. Others claimed Danny bullied them at school.

Following the allegations, Danny issued an apology on social media. In his statement, he said, "Looking back on some of my actions, I understand why they caused upset and pain, and for that, I am truly sorry. I didn't sufficiently consider how my behavior might impact others.".

He said he would need some time to work on himself and seek professional help.

The Sun reports that the band confirmed that Danny was taking time off and expressed their support for him.

«"Danny is currently taking a break, and we respect that," they shared on their Instagram story. "As a band, we've always talked about the importance of taking care of your mental health and getting support when you need it. That's exactly what Danny is focusing on right now.".

The European leg of their tour kicks off in Amsterdam on December 10th. It's unclear whether Danny will return to the band for the remainder of the tour.

Simon Cowell: The Next Act is available to watch on Netflix.
