Cardi B's long-running legal battle with YouTuber Tasha K. has taken a new turn—and this time, it reportedly involves Tasha's husband, some Georgia real estate, and several complex schemes.
Earlier this month, the rap star filed a civil lawsuit in federal court against Tasha's husband, Sheikna Kebe, alleging he was involved in a scam to conceal his wife's assets to avoid paying Cardi the nearly $4 million she won in a libel and defamation case. Although she doesn't want the case to move forward (more on that below), Cardi filed the lawsuit this month to meet certain court deadlines.
In 2019, the Bronx rapper sued a YouTube gossip blogger, claiming Tasha K. had waged a "malicious campaign" to damage her reputation. Cardi cited a series of videos in which the defendant made "false and defamatory" statements regarding drug use, sexual activity, and sexually transmitted diseases. In January 2022, a jury sided with Cardi and found Tasha K. guilty of defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, ultimately awarding Cardi nearly $4 million in damages.
In her new lawsuit, Cardi claims that once the documents were signed, Tasha and Kebe "fraudulently obtained, concealed, or diverted" their assets to keep them away from the hit rapper. «"Am I the Drama?"» .

This allegedly happened in two ways. First, in May 2022—after Tasha lost the case but before the final $4 million judgment—her husband created a company called Yelen Entertainment, LLC. At that point, Tasha's assets from her company, Kebe Studios (which paid Cardi $2.9 million of the $4 million settlement) were allegedly transferred to the new company. According to the complaint, this left Tasha's business "an empty shell with no assets from which Ms. Almanzar could receive compensation from Kebe Studios." Yelen Entertainment allegedly now manages Tasha's social media accounts, "Unwine with Tasha K," and the rest of her projects, and receives money from them.
The second part of the scheme allegedly involved Kebe taking a series of steps to keep his wife's personal funds out of Cardi's reach. According to the complaint, he "transferred [Tasha's] salary and income through Yelena's accounts," removed her name from bank accounts, ensured she was no longer paid directly, and transferred her Georgia real estate to his name. Documents filed with the lawsuit show that Tasha transferred the real estate to Kebe back in March 2022 in exchange for $1.
The lawsuit alleges that Kebe "repeatedly admitted under oath that these actions were taken to help [Tasha] avoid paying" Cardi. He is quoted as stating that Kebe Studios was shut down because "it was operating improperly and because there was a judgment against it." When asked why he accepted the Georgia property, he replied, "I wanted to help her avoid a lien.".
In her lawsuit, Cardi alleges that all of these actions were fraudulent and intended to avoid the judgment. She seeks payment of the entire judgment amount, interest, invalidation of the transfer of assets to Yelena, as well as the transfer of the Georgia property, the transfer of Tasha and Kebe's assets into a trust to pay Cardi's judgment, and an injunction preventing further asset transfers.
Shortly after filing the lawsuit, Cardi filed a separate motion to postpone the trial until the conclusion of Tasha's ongoing Florida bankruptcy case, which began in 2023. That motion made it clear that Cardi filed the lawsuit then (May 6, 2026) because Florida law allows a lawsuit to be filed within four years of the date of the allegedly fraudulent transfer of property, and the earliest transfer Cardi claimed to have found records of occurred in May 2022.
