Chris Hemsworth recently opened up about a parenting mistake he made before a family trip that nearly ruined it. The Marvel star has three children with his wife, Elsa Pataky: 14-year-old daughter India Rose and 12-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan. The couple gave an interview where they answered several questions about the vacation.
Chris Hemsworth recalled what would be every father's worst nightmare at the airport when flying with children.
Chris Hemsworth has already lived through every father's worst nightmare: flying with his children. He and his wife gave an interview to Harper's Bazaar Arabia, published on June 3. The couple answered several questions about travel. When asked who most often forgets their passports, they both pointed at each other, after which Hemsworth admitted he once found himself in a similar situation.
«"I was at the airport once, and I had my daughter's passport instead of my son's. They kind of look the same," Hemsworth said. Pataky insisted, "No." The Thor star told airport staff, "That's her." The staff apparently realized the mistake and said, "It's a boy." He finally admitted, "So yeah, it didn't work. So yeah, it must be me.".
In February 2026, during the world premiere of Crime 101 at the United Theater on Broadway in Los Angeles, Hemsworth told PEOPLE magazine what his children thought of his acting career. Asked if he gained "coolness points" with his children by being a global movie star, he replied, "They don't care. They don't care at all.".
He explained that when they were younger, they thought it was cool, but that changed over the years. "I think when they first realized I was Thor, they thought it was really cool," he said. "And then they realized they couldn't fly, and that seemed less cool. Now they're just like, 'Oh, Dad, whatever.' Teenagers.".
