In an interview with E! News, Homer Gere revealed that he and Kaia "didn't know each other before we started filming," but their friendship has grown stronger since then. "We just became friends as co-workers before we started working, and she's become a really close friend. It was wonderful working with her." Kaia Gerber also had nothing but positive things to say about her mother's ex-husband's son. "It was so great working with him. He's so wonderful. He's so funny. He makes me laugh so much," she said.
In 2016, on the "WTF with Marc Maron" podcast, Cindy Crawford revealed that her relationship with Richard Gere in the '90s didn't work out because it wasn't based on friendship. "We were something else, but I don't know if we were ever friends—as colleagues, because I was young and he was Richard Gere. And then, as I started to mature and become myself, it's hard to change the nature of a relationship once you're already in it." The supermodel added that she was very young at the time, having married Richard when she was 25 and he was 41.
Cindy Crawford found happiness in the late '90s with Rande Gerber, to whom she has been happily married for almost 30 years. Moreover, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber grew together throughout their marriage, and the supermodel attributes their longevity to their initial friendship. "I think Rande and I have a relationship that works because we were friends first," she shared. Gerber, meanwhile, separated from his second wife, Carey Lowell, in the early 2010s and married publicist Alejandra Silva in 2018.
