Larry David may not be in Masters of the Universe, but he was certainly there in spirit. In fact, according to Alison Brie, her wig for the film was named after him.
Brie plays Evil Lynn in the Amazon MGM film, the right-hand man of Skeletor (Jared Leto). The character has completely white hair, and during her appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" on Wednesday, Brie explained that the look was achieved using a modified bald cap. Instead of trying to use a bald cap with a wig on top and a headpiece over it, she simply used a bald cap with a strip of hair underneath.
«"He needed a name because it was so awkward," the actress admitted. "So we started calling him 'Larry David.'".
Myers then showed a photo of the Curb Your Enthusiasm star next to a photo of Brie in a wig, and indeed, they were strikingly similar.
«"I realized it because I thought, 'Why isn't Larry that scary?' And it's all about the sideburns!" she said. "I think if I had white sideburns, it would solve everything.".
Meyers agreed, but quickly joked that die-hard He-Man fans would be deeply upset by the change, adding, "I'm also glad Evil-Lyn doesn't sound like Larry David.".
