Angry Ginger said three pets died in a fire at his mother's home.

In an update on the streaming platform Twitch on Wednesday, the content creator informed fans that two cats and one rabbit belonging to his mother died in a fire at his mother's home in Salford, Greater Manchester, earlier this week.

The 24-year-old, whose real name is Morgan Birtwistle, described Simba, Herbert and Sparky as "incredible cats and bunnies" and "so cute" before showing viewers photos of the trio.

He said: «The main thing is that my mother is okay – if she had been at home, she would not have survived, it was that bad.».

Angry Ginger told fans he had to miss a briefing ahead of his upcoming performance at Soccer Aid because his mother called him to tell him there was a fire.

In an emotional speech on Wednesday, he said: "My mother had two cats and a rabbit at home and obviously they didn't survive.".

«"RIP Simba, RIP Herbert and RIP Sparky, they didn't make it which is of course very, very sad.".

«Of course, I lived with them when I lived with my mother in Bakupa.».

«"My mum was in London for the Soccer Aid charity football match - that's how lucky we were.".
