Today Fans can't get enough of Craig Melvin's latest on-screen interview.
In the third hour of the program Today On Tuesday, June 2, Melvin and his colleagues Dylan Dreyer and Kaylee Hartung announced that 10-month-old Cameron Chang of Minnesota will be the Gerber Baby of 2026. The hosts interviewed Cameron and his parents, Rachel Olsen and Alden Chang.
«"Oh my god. I'm in shock. I still can't believe it," Olsen said of Cameron being chosen as this year's Gerber Baby. "We were in complete shock, but it was the coolest experience and the moment everything fell into place. Gerber was his first food product, so yeah, I'm in complete shock.".
Cameron's father, Alden, said he still "can't believe it," adding, "I still remember that first bell ringing and celebrating like there was no tomorrow. I can't believe it happened, it's just a one-in-a-million chance.".
Throughout the interview, Cameron made cute noises and moved around animatedly. At one point, he reached out to Melvin, and his mother handed him over to the host. "He just wants to meet people!" Alden joked.
Melvin was thrilled to hold the baby. "You know what? You're supposed to be a Gerber baby. Not just a pretty boy. He's got character," he exclaimed excitedly. Melvin lifted Cameron onto his lap, and he and Dreyer hugged the baby tenderly.
Cameron continued touching Melvin's face. "He wears a lot of makeup," Dreyer jokingly told Cameron. Eventually, the toddler stuck his hands in Melvin's mouth, then remarked, "One day you'll have that many teeth!"«
At the end of the interview, Melvin told Cameron's parents, "You need to enroll this guy in acting classes." Referring to his own memories, Melvin noted, "It brings back fond memories." (Melvin has a son, Delano, and a daughter, Sybil, with his wife, Lindsay Czarniak.)

Today Melvin's official Instagram page posted a sweet video of Melvin and Cameron hanging out on Tuesday, with the caption: "Introducing Cameron Chung, the Gerber Baby of 2026! Looks like Craig has a new best friend.".
