On Monday, June 1, at the 3rd annual Gotham Television Awards in New York City, the 40-year-old actress wore a daring look on a date with her husband, Mark Ronson. She also reunited with her co-stars. «Love Story» on the red carpet ahead of the start of Emmy Awards season.
Gummer ditched the bra and stepped out in a sheer black sheath dress by Issey Miyake, layered with a black miniskirt and stripes of fabric layered over it to create an abstract pattern. She completed the look with black pumps and styled her hair in an elegant updo.
Ronson, 50, appeared in public wearing a Tom Ford outfit consisting of a white jacket, black shirt and black trousers.
Rumors of the music producer and actress's engagement first surfaced in May 2021, after which they secretly married later that year. In 2023, they welcomed a daughter, who became parents.

Gummer played Caroline Kennedy on the hit FX series« Love Story", telling the story of the affair between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy.
In a March interview with the magazine Elle The actress said the actors were surprised by the reaction to the show.
«"We knew people would like it, but we didn't expect it to become a global phenomenon," Gummer explained. "We all have a group chat, and we're like, 'So, what's going on?'"»
She also talked about how she would feel if series creator Ryan Murphy made a series about her mother, legendary actress Meryl Streep.
«"I just don't know if it's going to happen, right?!" Gummer said. "Because I didn't grow up in society.".

«"The thing is, there's always been a whole legend surrounding Kennedy, a certain veil of mystery surrounding the American era, which is so intriguing and will always hold a significant place in the public consciousness," she continued. "That's always been the case. People have always been fascinated by them. And no one is immune to an unhappy love story. I think we really, really need that right now.".

In an interview with the magazine Elle Gummer recalled one item from her wardrobe for the film "Love Story"« , which perfectly reflected the character of her heroine.
«"At one of my first fittings, I found one piece—a vintage striped Valentino shirt from the late 1980s—that so perfectly captured her style of the time," Gummer told the publication. "It had a slightly exposed shoulder, buttons all the way down, and a stunning cut. It's one of those pieces that's impossible to replicate today.".
Gummer continued, "The moment I put it on, I thought, 'Oh, there she is.' She always buttons her cuffs all the way up, and she buttons them all the way up. It's all together, classy, elegant, old-world, but with a certain charm. Everyone talks about Caroline's style—I think she had impeccable style, and she still does.".
