On Monday, James Gunn, co-head of DC Studios and director of the 2027 event film, revealed what the actor looks like inside the villain's comic-book-accurate green battlesuit.
«"Look check," Gunn captioned the photo on his social media. "Live from the set of 'The Man of Tomorrow.'".
When Gunn first announced the film, scheduled for release on July 9, 2027, he and Hoult shared images from DC Comics depicting Lex in the same costume. Now we're seeing his cinematic incarnation on the big screen.
In a series of posts on Threads, Gunn said the battlesuit is "100 percent practical" and Holt "can move incredibly well in it.".

Matthew Lillard is the latest confirmed cast member for the sequel, alongside Millie Alcock, who will play Supergirl.
They are joined by previously mentioned actors Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), Isabela Merced (Hawkeye), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner), Edi Gathegi (Mr. Terrific) and Frank Grillo (Rick Flag Sr.).

Aaron Pierre, who will debut as Green Lantern John Stewart in HBO's fall series «Lanterns» , will also return to his role in in the film "The Man of Tomorrow"« .
«"It's as much a Lex movie as it is a Superman movie," Gunn previously told Howard Stern about the film. "I really enjoyed working with Nicholas Hoult. Unfortunately, I understand Lex's character. I really wanted to create something extraordinary with the two of them. I just really love the script.".
