For action movie buffs, the mere words "Director David Leitch" are enough to send them to the cinema. The former stuntman who helped launch the John Wick franchise has become one of Hollywood's finest creators of blockbusters, filled with meticulously crafted action sequences and audience-pleasing humor. This style has allowed him to collaborate with stars like Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling. And now he's assembled one of the largest ensemble casts of his career for the new heist film, How to Rob a Bank.
Leitch's new film, written by Mark Bianculli, follows a group of criminals who closely monitor their social media presence. It stars Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz, Anna Saway, Rhenzy Feliz, Pete Davidson, and John C. Reilly. The film, whose first trailer was released Tuesday, is set for release this fall.
The official synopsis for the film reads: "A group of social media-savvy bank robbers broadcast their daring heists, unaware that their growing viral popularity has put them in the crosshairs of a seasoned FBI agent and a brilliant programmer. Even as this unlikely pair closes in on them, the criminal gang pushes boundaries, putting everything on the line for their beliefs—and their most ambitious heist to date.".
How to Rob a Bank is produced by Leitch, Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, Allan Mandelbaum, and Kelly McCormick, with Ben Orman and Bianculli serving as executive producers.
