Actress, known for the film "Halloween", published her sister's official obituary in a touching Instagram post on Monday, three days after her death was announced on May 30. She was 69.
«"My original statement was a personal remembrance," Curtis wrote. "I understand that some people receive news through social media, and I wanted this to be an official obituary.".

She also noted that some obituaries published after her initial statement contained "incorrect information" specifying that Kelly was married to John Marsh.
Along with her post, Curtis shared a photo of Kelly smiling while holding a sign that read, "Greetings to family and friends. Love. Stay safe.".
The obituary states that Kelly, the eldest daughter of Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, was born and raised in Los Angeles before her family moved to Idaho. After graduating from Skidmore College, she worked as an actress in New York City and also performed on stage in films such as «"Trading Places"» , and TV shows like «The Equalizer, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine» и «Judge Amy.
The message also highlighted Kelly's charitable work, noting that she and her father, Tony, helped raise funds for the reconstruction of the Dohany Street Synagogue in Budapest, Hungary. Furthermore, she ended all her messages with the words "Isten Veled," a Hungarian blessing meaning "God be with you.".
Kelly and her second husband, filmmaker John Marsh, later moved to Bellevue, Idaho, where, according to her obituary, they founded the independent documentary production company Liberty Films. The couple also collaborated on the restoration of an old Victorian house, which was preserved and donated to the local community.
«"She lived a life of generosity, service, and a deep love for the beauty of nature, and was devoted to her family and the game Pokémon Go," the obituary read. "She was affectionately known as 'Auntie Cookie.' She is survived by her husband, John; sisters Jamie, Alexandra, and Allegra; and their brother, Benjamin; nieces and nephews Annie, Ruby, Elizabeth, Dido, Helena, Raphael, Nicholas, Jacob, and Christopher; great-nieces and nephews Calum, Rory, Alistair, and Isaac; and stepmother, Lesley Curtis.".
The message concluded: "To our sister, sister of the sun and moon, Kelly, to Isten Weled. May her memory be blessed.".
Curtis expressed her condolences on social media, sharing a touching remembrance of how her wedding to husband Christopher Guest brought them back together after growing apart.
«"My sister and I were very close as children, but we competed for the attention and love of our divorced parents. We were completely different and lived apart for many years," she wrote. "But she came back to be with me at my wedding and never really left again.".
Curtis explained that Kelly had become an integral part of her family, adding: "I miss her today, but I take comfort in the thought that she has found peace.".
