Two days after Jamie Lee Curtis announced the death of her sister Kelly at age 69, the Blaine County Coroner's Office in Idaho confirmed to the publication Us Weekly, that she died of natural causes. Officials also shared details about her final days, reporting that she was in hospice care a week before her death on May 30.
The medical examiner's office added that Kelly is expected to be cremated and that her husband John March was present when the forensic expert arrived.
After her death, Kelly's sister remembered her fondly, with Jamie writing on Instagram: "Warm greetings to my big sister, Kelly Lee Curtis. She passed away this morning. In her home. In nature. In peace and quiet.".
