As confirmed The Hollywood Reporter , Jason Momoa will no longer star in video game adaptations. Helldivers directed by Justin Lin.
Work on a feature-length version of Lin continues at Sony Pictures, with a script written by Gary Dauberman ( «"It"» , «Until Dawn» ). Premiere «Hell Divers» is scheduled to hit theaters on November 10, 2027.

Movie «Helldivers» , created by PlayStation Productions, is an adaptation of the 2015 game and its sequel, which have collectively sold over 12 million copies. The game franchise follows the "Helldivers," a squad of elite soldiers tasked with protecting a Super-Earth from an alien invasion.
The studio hinted at the film during its presentation at CinemaCon earlier this year, after first announcing the project at last year's CES. The shooter, first released in March 2015, is being developed by Arrowhead Game Studios.
In February THR reported that Momoa was set to star in the film. Lin, Hutch Parker, and Asad Kizilbash are producing the film.
Momoa has a number of big-screen films scheduled for release this year, including the role of DC Comics hero Lobo in the Warner Bros. film "« Supergirl »", where he will star alongside Millie Alcock. The film is scheduled to premiere on June 26. The actor, who recently starred in this year's action comedy «Wrecking Crew» , will appear in films later this year «Street Fighter» и «Dune: Part Three» . Among his films scheduled for release in 2027 are: «Minecraft Squared» и «Animal Friends» with Ryan Reynolds.
Known for directing several films in the franchise «Fast and Furious» , Lin just recently made a film «The Last Days» 2025.
