That same day, she announced on social media that her song "Truth Hurts" had achieved diamond status, denoting sales of 10 million or more equivalent copies. She posted two videos on TikTok of herself lip-syncing to the hit.

Many have questioned Lizzo's decision to give her album a title that many publications prefer to censor, arguing it could lead to its lesser popularity. In numerous interviews, she has stated that she chose the title because "bitch" is her favorite word. However, she recently shed some light on the matter.
In an interview with USA Today, speaking about the album, she stated, "I don't think I need to redefine myself. I think it's about reclaiming who I am. My identity has been distorted in many ways by people on the outside, so this album is my way of taking back control, showing the Lizzo that everyone knows and loves, letting her tell her side of the story, and just letting her play again.".
Regarding the origin of the title, Lizzo said, "There's this joke Katt Williams made about me where he was like, 'They'll gang up on anybody. They ganged up on Lizzo, and she's unproblematic, but it just goes to show that you can be fat, you can be Black, but you can't be a fat Black bitch.' And I was like, 'Wow, that's so true.'".
She continued, "God forbid if you have a bad day, or God forbid if you're not shining with rainbows and sunshine one day. You're going to get crucified, especially if you're a Black woman in this industry and in society.".
Lizzo recently responded to Nicki Minaj
On the night of her album's release, Lizzo addressed Nicki Minaj on social media. According to Complex, she did so by reposting a tweet by the rapper that read, "Fat Lizzo lost 300 pounds to sell 300 albums. She ended up with saggy skin, a failed album, and a bizarre accusation. Horrible.".
The singer captioned the post, "Since I'm blocked..." and also included a video of a new version of her song "B-TCH," in which she addresses the rapper behind the hit "Super Bass." In one of the lines of the remix, Lizzo can be heard saying, "I used to be her biggest fan, then I lost weight/Wait, wait. Let me stop.".
This has led many of Minaj's fans to rejoice at the album's failure, claiming she only made the post to drum up interest.
