Frustration got the better of the "Thought You Should Know" singer during his Still The Problem tour when he knocked over a piano onstage due to technical difficulties at a May 29 concert in Denver, Colorado.
In videos circulating on social media, Morgan completed an acoustic performance of his song "Sand in my Boots" before knocking over and smashing a piano that appeared to have malfunctioned during the concert.
A shocking moment of surprise and jubilation erupted from fans at Empower Field in Mile High after the top of the piano shattered onto the hard stage floor.
As footage of the brutal moment spread on social media, internet users began to discuss his behavior as a "bad guy.".

But online opinions seem divided over whether the country music star overreacted to the technical glitch. After all, one fan added, "Rock stars have been doing this to their guitars for decades.".

Wallen was arrested in April 2024 for allegedly throwing a chair from the roof of Chief's Bar in Nashville, police said at the time. Just over a week later, the Grammy-nominated artist publicly addressed the incident. "I didn't feel comfortable speaking publicly about what happened until I made peace with some people," he wrote on April 19, 2024. "I have contacted Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief's. I am not proud of my behavior and take responsibility." In December 2024, Wallen pleaded guilty to two counts of endangering life or health in connection with the alleged chair-throwing incident. He was sentenced to two years of probation and seven days in a driver training center for DUI offenses.

Wallen was supposed to be the musical guest. SNL in October 2020, but after photos and videos of the musician partying in Alabama surfaced online, he was removed from the show for failing to comply with COVID-19 regulations. "I was preparing for SNL "This Saturday, and I got a call from the show saying I couldn't perform anymore. And it's because of COVID protocols, which I understand," Wallen said in a video posted to social media at the time. "I haven't tested positive for COVID, but my actions this past weekend were pretty short-sighted, and they obviously impacted my long-term goals and dreams." The "Last Night" singer took responsibility for his actions. "On a personal level, I think I need to grow up," he continued. "I think I lost myself a little bit. I was trying to find joy in the wrong places, and, I don't know, it just diminished my joy. So I'm going to work on that. I'm going to step away from the spotlight for a while and focus on myself." While Jack White performed as the musical guest, Wallen got another chance to perform on SNL in December of that year. He even joked about the incident in one of his sketches.

According to court records, Wallen was arrested in 2016 for alleged drunk driving in his home state of Tennessee. However, the charges were dismissed later that year, records indicate.
