As it became known Variety According to exclusive sources, Netflix has given the green light to the adult animated comedy series "Dealies.".
The official description of the series reads: "A clever salesman. A graceful gladiator. A quiet virtuoso. A summoner of the divine. And the poor soul who hired them. They are all part of the staff at Deal's, a large chain store. They are masters of the subtle alchemy of commerce. Prophets of entrepreneurship. And sometimes, they actually make something happen.".

The series was created by Joe Bennett and Ted Travelstead, who serve as writers, executive producers, and showrunners of "Dealies." Lisa Mirke also serves as executive producer, along with Alex Plapinger and James Merrill, Sean Buckelew, and Benji Brook of Green Street Pictures. Green Street is also the studio producing the series.
Bennett is the co-creator of the Adult Swim animated series "Common Side Effects," which is co-produced by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels' Green Street and Bandera Entertainment. The first season premiered in 2025, with a second season in development. Bennett is also the co-creator of the critically acclaimed HBO Max animated series "Scavengers Reign," which premiered in 2023 and was also a Green Street production. His other credits include the FXX series "Cake.".
Travelstead previously worked as a voice actor on the series "Scavengers Reign" and "Cake." As a writer, he most recently served as a supervising producer on the Fox animated series "The Great North." He has also written for series such as "Making History," "Wilfred," and "Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell." He spent two years as a staff writer at Illumination Entertainment. He is the author of the books "The Petraeus Files" and "Sex: Our Bodies, Our Junk.".
Bennett and Plapinger are represented by Mosaic. Travelstead is represented by UTA, Kaplan Perrone, and Yorn Levine.
This is Netflix's latest order for an adult animated series this year. The streaming service previously announced orders for the Australian series "Dad's House" and "Dang!" starring Andrew Low, Stephanie Xu, and Poppy Liu.
Netflix's current catalog of adult animated series includes the recently launched "Mating Season," created by the team behind another Netflix series, "Big Mouth." Netflix also offers series like "Street Cats" and "Haunted Hotel." Last year, Netflix launched "Short and Sweet," from "BoJack Horseman" creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg, which was renewed for a second season before its premiere.
