Paris Jackson spoke candidly about one of the most personal moments of her life. During a candid podcast appearance, the singer and model recalled her first meeting with her mother, Debbie Rowe , at the age of 15. Despite the age difference, Paris said the meeting was surprisingly natural.

Paris shared this memory during an appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. Host Alex Cooper asked what it was like meeting Rowe for the first time. "I remember coming downstairs, and she was in the living room with my grandmother," Paris recalled. "I walked in and just said, 'Hi, Mom.'".
When Cooper asked if she immediately called Rowe "Mom," Paris confirmed that she did. "I sat down, we talked for a little bit, and then we went for a walk and just spent time together," she said.
As Page Six reports, Paris also explained why the meeting went so smoothly. She joked that their similar fire signs helped them instantly connect. "She's a Sagittarius, so she's a fire person, and I'm an Aries, so I'm a fire person," Paris said. "We're very similar.".
She added that approaching relationships without expectations has greatly influenced her life experience. "I think the most wonderful thing about my approach... is understanding how expectations, in some ways, ruin everything," she explained. Without expectations, she says, relationships are given more space to develop naturally, rather than being burdened by disappointment or resentment.
Rowe married Michael Jackson in 1996, and they had a son, Prince, in 1997, and a daughter, Paris, in 1998. The couple divorced in 2000, and Michael received full custody of the children. Paris didn't meet Rowe until she was 15.
In another segment of the interview, Paris also spoke about her unusual childhood with Michael, Prince, and her younger brother, Biggie. She said wearing masks in public as children allowed them to enjoy everyday activities without attracting attention. "It made sense," she explained, recalling family outings when they could "go to Chuck E. Cheese and act normal.".
Paris also remembered her late father as a devoted parent with a playful personality. She described Michael as "a very funny guy" and said he affectionately called her his "little princess.".
Over the years, Paris has occasionally shared glimpses of her relationship with Rowe. The first reports of their relationship surfaced in 2013, and earlier this year, they reunited and took a rare selfie together.
