Rod Stewart announced a major setback, causing disappointment among his fans.
The music icon, whose career has spanned decades, has postponed several of his Las Vegas concerts.
The renowned, award-winning musician was scheduled to perform a two-night concert over the weekend. Unfortunately, he had to abruptly cancel the show due to health issues.
«"Following medical advice, Rod Stewart has regretfully cancelled his shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on May 29 and 30, but plans to return to the stage beginning June 2," a representative for the singer told the publication. Las Vegas Review .
Stewart also took the opportunity to express regret over the unexpected changes to the upcoming concert schedule.
«"My apologies to my fans. I'm taking vocal rest while recovering from a sinus infection," he said. "I look forward to seeing you at a future Caesars Palace concert or on my summer tour.".

The planned two-day show is part of a series The Encore Shows concerts The 81-year-old singer's Las Vegas run, which will run from May 27 to June 6 and resume from August 18 to 29.
In 2024, Stewart confirmed that he was retiring from large-scale world touring, and his tour One Last Time marked a farewell to a long world tour.
However, he clarified that he will continue to perform at individual concerts, special events, and as part of his regular performances.
«"This will be the end of my massive world tours, but I don't want to retire," he wrote on social media. "I love what I do and I'm doing what I love.".
Despite this announcement, the music icon has a busy schedule and many current and upcoming performances.
Among them is the continuation of his world tour after it was extended due to popular demand.
This year's North American arena and amphitheater tour kicked off May 13 in Connecticut and will hit several states, including Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, and Arizona, before concluding in Kansas City on August 15.
On select days he will perform alongside special guest Richard Marx.
