According to Deadline, Sydney Sweeney has landed a role in the new film "Hollow," following her turn in "Euphory." Director and screenwriter Lindsay Anderson Beer is adapting her debut novel "Hollow" into a film starring Sweeney. The 28-year-old actress will reportedly co-produce the film alongside LuckyChap and Beer through her company, Lab Brew.
According to sources, the novel generated significant industry competition immediately after it was submitted. However, Sweeney managed to secure the rights to produce and star in the film. "Hollow" is said to be a brilliant reimagining of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," told from the perspective of Katrina Van Tassel.
Bier reimagines Van Tassel not simply as a romantic heroine, but as a strong feminist figure. In her new interpretation, Bier combines a gothic atmosphere with psychological subtext and elements of erotic thriller, creating a contemporary reimagining of the classic story.
Deadline recently reported that Sweeney has launched her own production company, Honey Trap. The 28-year-old singer created the brand in collaboration with her longtime creative collaborator, Kaylee MacGregor.
