On Friday, June 5, the 36-year-old pop star released a track from the cartoon "« Toy Story 5» and, reminiscing about her love for the franchise, shared an adorable archival video of herself as a child cowgirl on Instagram.
In the sweet video, Swift, with curly hair, walked around a room wearing a red and white blouse, cowboy boots, a denim skirt with red and white trim, white tights, cowboy boots, and a red and white cowboy hat.
«"Writing this song was both a musical departure and a homecoming for me. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge, but at the same time, it felt completely natural," Swift wrote. "And being a fan of @toystory from age five until now... it's an adventure I plan to be on until infinity and beyond.".
She continued: "Thank you to the brilliant Andrew Stanton for imagining me in this role all those years ago when he was writing the script for this new film," referring to the director and screenwriter.« Toy Story 5 »" and then expressed gratitude to singer-songwriter Randy Newman, who has collaborated on several tracks over the years. from Toy Story« .

The "Opalite" hitmaker reunited with her frequent collaborator and friend Jack Antonoff to create this track.

We wrote this song out of a deep love for these characters who made us laugh and helped us learn from our mistakes and think outside the box throughout our childhoods. The song 'I Knew It, I Knew You' from «Toy Story 5» "Already available everywhere. 🤠🐴," Swift concluded.
The release comes just days after the Grammy Award winner announced the song's arrival on Monday, June 1, following weeks of speculation, and shared the cover art, which shows her sporting bohemian-Western curls.

Announcing the track's upcoming release, Swift wrote on Instagram: "It's Toy Story 🤠. You knew it! My new original song, 'I Knew It, I Knew You,' for the Disney and @pixar animated film Toy Story 5, will be released June 5th. I've always dreamed of writing songs for these characters, who I've adored since I was five and watched the first movie." «Toy Story ».
Swift continued: "I instantly fell in love with «Toy Story 5, when I was lucky enough to see it early on, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from watching it. In a press release, screenwriter Andrew Stanton said of the song: "It's incredible how much it means to us that Taylor wrote and performed this song. Her connection to Jessie and how quickly she understood what the character was going through is undeniable.".
He added: "This song is so closely related to «Toy Story »"So much so that upon first listening, it immediately felt as if she had always belonged to this cartoon, like a long-lost family member. It was fate.".

Days before Swift confirmed the song's release, fans suspected her involvement in the final installment. «Toy Stories» after Pixar placed billboards in cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, London and others.
Pixar also shared a video on Instagram of Jessie dancing in front of one of the billboards advertising the upcoming film.
«"She's making it up on the fly," the caption read, referencing a line from Swift's 2014 hit "Shake It Off.".
Premiere of the cartoon «Toy Story 5» will take place on June 19, the anniversary of the release of Taylor Swift's debut single "Tim McGraw.".
