On Thursday, the BBC released a statement following the revelation, stating that they have "no plans" to air the BBC Three documentary featuring Ashley. A spokesperson for the network stated that while Ashley's controversial posts were published several years ago, they are "completely unacceptable." However, they acknowledge that their vetting process "clearly failed" and are currently investigating the reasons. The BBC currently has no plans to collaborate with Ashley on any future projects.
