In the British show «Love Island» A new scandal has erupted. One of the contestants left the project prematurely, allegedly for personal reasons. However, reports are now emerging that this contestant was allegedly sent home by producers for using offensive language.
George Knight has revealed he has left the Love Island villa for personal reasons.
The Sun UK reported that George Knight was warned for using "inappropriate language" at the villa. He was allegedly sacked as a result. However, this doesn't mean that George's claim that he left for personal reasons was false.
An ITV spokesperson issued a statement regarding George's departure. "Due to personal reasons, George has left the Love Island villa. We are committed to looking after George and will not be making any further comment," the statement read.
According to an insider, "The situation was difficult for George: he left the villa earlier than expected and returned home during a very difficult family period." George also revealed the reasons for his departure. "They said my parents had contacted me and that they had news for me and were going to call me," George explained on The Sun's Showbiz Fix podcast. "But it was a health issue with a member of my immediate family.".
He also addressed allegations that he had engaged in microaggressions toward other island residents. "You only see a small part of all the conversations and relationships you have," George said. "I may have said things that, if you think about it, don't look or sound so nice, but that's just how I'm behaving in the moment.".
Unfortunately, this wasn't the only recent scandal on Love Island. A former contestant was arrested, again on charges of "obstructing justice." An unidentified contestant on the UK's Love Island was arrested in November 2025 on multiple charges, including sexual assault.
