Summer is in full swing, which means it's the perfect time for a cool, sweet treat—but it's best to watch your diet, and not just in the diet sense. A new trailer for Eli Roth's upcoming film, Ice Cream, has been released, and it offers a few not-so-savory treats that will take your breath away when the film hits theaters in August.
Roth directed Ice Cream, which he co-wrote with Noah Belson. The film stars Ari Millen, Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, Shiloh O'Reilly, Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Seltzer, and Charlie Story. Roth also directed, and the team behind the scenes includes special effects and makeup artists Steve Newbern and Adrienne Moreau, with a score by Snoop Dogg—an unexpected choice, but we still love it.
«"I'm incredibly excited about the incredible cast we've assembled for Ice Cream," Roth previously said of the film. "It's incredible to see an idea I've had in mind for over twenty years come to life, and thanks to this incredibly talented cast, we can give horror fans a film that's as terrifying as I've always imagined.".
«"Ice Cream Man" is the first film produced under Roth's new banner, The Horror Section, which "excellently serves fans by owning and operating a premium library of intellectual property, including horror films, television series, games, and podcasts, as well as producing horror-themed events." Other projects in development under the banner include "Don't Go In That House, Bitch!", also produced by Snoop Dogg, and "Stiletto," starring Gigi Gustin.
This new film is in no way connected to the 1995 horror film of the same name, in which Clint Howard played a deranged ice cream vendor who uses human flesh in his recipes. However, as of September 2025, a sequel to that film is in development—who would have thought the demand for sinister ice cream truck drivers would be so high?
The film "Ice Cream" is released in cinemas on August 7.
