Franchise «Yellowstone» continued with two series at once in the 2026 television program, including «Marshals» . The CBS drama starring Luke Grimes premiered earlier this year and will return for a second season. Unfortunately, the series is missing Casey's on-screen significant other, Monica, who died off-screen, as revealed in the premiere. «Marshals» . Luckily, we finally know what Kelsey Asbille, the actress who plays her, will be doing next, and I'm looking forward to it.
Asbille has landed a role in the Amazon MGM action film, Deadline reports. «Kelly» . She will star alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Liam Hemsworth, but details about her character are being kept under wraps. This will be one of her first projects after the series. «Yellowstone» , where she played Monica Dutton for all five seasons. Plot summary film "Kelly"« , directed by Brad Peyton and co-written by Tse Chun, states:
Kelly tells the story of Jack Kelly, a disgraced New York City police officer whose wife, Molly, is held hostage by terrorists in an old armory. He must then join forces with those he fears most: his family.
While it's not yet known who exactly Asbille will play, it could be Molly or one of the family members who must save her. The film sounds pretty intense, but I love action movies, and even just the brief plot summary has me very intrigued. There's no release date yet, but the wait is definitely worth it, especially with Asbille's involvement.
Meanwhile, when the creation was announced TV series "Marshals"« , Many had hoped that Asbille would join her on-screen husband, as well as their on-screen son, played by Brecken Merrill. Therefore, confirmation that she would not be joining the series came as a disappointment.
All hopes of Asbille's appearance were dashed in the first episode, when it was suggested that Monica had died of cancer, allegedly caused by the reservation's contaminated soil and water. Of course, the show's creators wanted to see Monica alive and kicking in the spinoff, but co-creator and showrunner Spencer Hudnut previously revealed that this was simply due to scheduling issues.

But now Asbille is open to taking on other projects, including «Kelly» , and it will be interesting to see her in a new role, whatever it may be. Over the years, she has starred in a wide variety of projects, from «One Tree Hill» on The WB/The CW, «Pairs of Kings» on Disney XD, «Teen Wolf» on MTV before «Fargo» and many others. And it looks like she's not slowing down anytime soon. She has two more projects in the works, so there's still plenty of exciting things to come.
