In the final episode, Coop, Nick, and Barney become much more involved in the death of Owen Ash (James Marsden), who fell and fatally hit his head while chasing his so-called friends with a gun in Episode 9.
The three men agree not to call the police and plan to hide the billionaire's body under a building under construction in Westmont. But on the way, Ash awakens and begins attacking all three.

Following his death, Ash's lawyer, DeMille (Oded Fehr), returns the video recording of Cooper's theft, which the billionaire had kept as blackmail, and transfers to Cooper the $600 million Cooper had previously returned to Ash's account. This seemingly random act of kindness isn't without consequences, as DeMille hints at further collaboration in the future.
To further heighten the intrigue, DeMille strongly hints that the kidnapping was orchestrated by investor Cricket Burch (Bojana Novakovic), a revelation that comes as a complete surprise given their romantic relationship.
