ImGist - I Am the Essence

Love Island reality star Beatrice Hatz was stunned by Gabriel Vasconcelos's kiss with the stunning beauty.

Beatrice Hatz came to the villa "« Island of Love »" to Fiji in hopes of finding love. However, her run on the popular Peacock reality show came to an end nearly a week ago, when the Paralympic medalist was eliminated after her co-star, Corbin Mims, was forced to rescue either her or Melanie Moreno. Following her exit, 25-year-old Hatz spoke with Ciara Miller about her time on the show on an episode of "Aftersun." Now, in a new interview, the Colorado native reveals even more details about her experience on "Love Island.".

Beatrice Hatz admitted she was "caught off guard" when she saw her co-star kiss another contestant.

Before her elimination from the island, Hatz was in a relationship with Sean Reiffel, and then she formed a relationship with Gabriel Vasconcelos, who had been a contestant on the show since day one. During their time in the villa, Hatz and Vasconcelos bonded over their shared cultures, leading to a relationship that some Love Island viewers considered one of the strongest on the show.

However, after Hatz was eliminated from the game, Vasconcelos immediately began an affair with Jennifer (Jen) Terry, even passionately kissing her that same evening. In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Hatz said Vasconcelos's actions caught her off guard, but added that she couldn't blame him for playing the game.

«"I can't blame him for moving on. You're in the villa, that's how it should be. I don't want to dwell on it, and I don't want it to change how I feel about him," she said.

Can Hatz imagine rekindling a relationship with Vasconcelos in real life?

Before leaving the villa, Hatz hinted that she would wait for Vasconcelos outside. However, today she says something completely different, telling the publication that a resumption of the relationship is possibly out of the question.

«"I don't know if we'll ever get back together," she said. "I know I walked away and said, 'Yeah, you know where to find me,' but he seems to be in a solid relationship right now, and that's all I want for him. So who knows what's going to happen.".

What was the most challenging thing for Hatz while filming Love Island?

While Hatz had disagreements with some of the show's cast members, including Melanie Moreno, her conflicts with her co-stars weren't the hardest part of filming the show—the hardest part was having to dress up every night.

«"I was really surprised that I had to wear dresses every day and wear makeup both day and night," she said. "During the day, I probably don't wear much makeup because I work out all day. I'm on the treadmill, but when I go out with friends in the evening, I wear trousers, loose pants, a cute crop top, and maybe sneakers or low-heeled shoes. I'm pretty inconspicuous.".

Hatz explained that wearing dresses and fancy shoes added to the challenge. "I can't move the way I want. I have to sit differently," she said, adding that she was the most athletic girl in the troupe, and being surrounded by feminine women made her feel like a tomboy.

Drama has unfolded around some of the participants of the show "Love Island".

Hatz appeared on an episode of "Aftersun" with Reiffel, who spoke candidly about being criticized by his former employer, the mayor of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

According to a previous report from The Blast, Mayor William J. Reynolds was unhappy that Reiffel quit his job as a police officer to film the show, and Bethlehem's police chief said she was "disappointed" in the 29-year-old man.

Reiffel responded to their statements, calling them "interesting," and then said he had a long conversation with his employer about where he was going and why he wanted to request unpaid leave.

«"This really bothers me because, shortly before my departure, I was given awards for pulling a woman out of a burning building and coaxing a mentally ill man off a roof with my colleagues. So, to give me these awards and then do something like this? I just don't understand," said the father of one.

The contestant was removed from the lineup after previously using a racist slur.

Before all this, even before the new season began, a scandal erupted in the Love Island villa: participant Wasana Montgomery was expelled from the series after videos surfaced in which she used racist remarks.

A new episode of Love Island airs tonight, June 19th, on Peacock at 9 PM ET.
