Comedian and political commentator Bill Maher added fuel to the fire by lashing out at the president Donald Trump due to his extremely low approval ratings "even among white people" without college degrees, he viciously mocked the Ultimate Fighting Championship fight at the White House.
In Friday's episode of the program » Real Time with Bill Maher" on The guest of the interview on the HBO channel was Neil deGrasse Tyson , an astrophysicist, director of the Hayden Planetarium, and author of the new book, "Take Me to Your Leader: Perspectives on Your First Alien Encounter.".
The guests of the discussion included: Katy Tur , best-selling author and host of the program "Katy Tur Reports" on the MS NOW channel, and former Speaker Kevin McCarthy , a former Republican congressman who represented California's 20th congressional district and served as the 55th Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Maher spent part of his monologue mocking Trump for his steadily declining approval ratings in opinion polls:
BILL MAHER: But I'll tell you, because of the war and gas prices, more than nine other factors, Trump's approval rating has dropped to its lowest ever—34%, even lower than among non-college-educated whites. And that's always been his base. It's like Taco Bell losing its pot-smoking crowd. I mean, it's…
I'm serious. You're losing, dude. Losing to white people without college degrees—what else is he supposed to do, throw UFC fights on a lawn? Oh, we do that, I forgot. We really do that. My mistake.
There's a lot going on behind the scenes. We're throwing a big concert to celebrate America's 250th anniversary. The lineup has been announced. Oh, Vanilla Ice, I won't be doing that Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, Morris Day, Bret Michaels. I think that's very admirable of the president. It shows he cares about the unemployed.
And then, after they announced this all-star lineup, a lot of people were like, "No, what are you talking about? We're not playing." It must be really painful when you can't get a deal with Milli Vanilli.
