The desire to drink and cook with clean water has led to an avalanche-like demand for water purification products and anti-corrosion treatments for tanks. And it's worth noting that, despite the abundance of options for various filters, demand for them is constantly growing.
According to some estimates, the market size for water purification filters amounts to products worth up to $150 million, and the annual growth in sales volume reaches 20%.
The range of water purification products is very broad and consists of several major groups. These include kitchen pitchers, faucet attachments, and stationary units. Although the domestic market is already teeming with both domestic and international manufacturers, there's always room for a small business. Each product group has its own customers. However, water purification for cottages primarily requires stationary equipment.
This equipment structurally consists of the following components:
1. a replaceable filter in which several replaceable cassettes (cartridges) are installed in series;
2. anti-corrosion coating;
3. system for supplying and removing water into and from the filter.
There's no need for high-tech manufacturing of such equipment. The filter media can be sourced from third parties, and once the filter housing is manufactured, the production process can be considered complete.
Once you receive the filter drawings from the manufacturer, all that remains is to design the housing for their mounting. It's best to work with the filter designer to develop this design. It should be disassemblable and made of either polymers or bent metal sections.
Water passes through filters without the use of an additional pump, and therefore, the main thing is to ensure the tightness of all connections at the water inlet and outlet.
