ImGist - I Am the Essence

Janay Norman made a bold statement about her wedding after Michael Strahan's criticism.

The fired presenter of the program Good Morning America Janay Norman turned heads at her friend's wedding in New York last week, wearing a stunning gold minidress.

The 36-year-old journalist, fired from the ABC program in April, attended the event with her husband, Eli, and Fox News anchor Kenneth Moton. Moton shared photos from the wedding, in which the three of them pose on a rooftop balcony overlooking the city.

Norman, who has three children with Eli, beamed with happiness as she posed for photos. In the first shot, she stood arm in arm with Moton, wearing a brown suit, and in the second, they were joined by her husband, Norman, who looked stylish in a gray suit and white Nike sneakers.

«"The complete opposite... of the silence by the stream. And I like it," Moton captioned the photos.

Fans were quick to react in the comments, with one Instagram user writing: "You look great.".

«"You look beautiful," another woman told Norman.

«"Look, you're all so chic and expensive!" exclaimed another.

Another added: "You all look absolutely stunning!"«

Norman confirmed her departure from GMA Weekend programs back in April, stating in a video message posted on Instagram: "I was hoping we would have more time together, and it's really hard for me to have it cut short so soon. I loved my job… So it really hurts me that I can't say goodbye. I'm so sorry I can't say goodbye—that would have been so nice.".

Norman has been critical of her former employer in recent weeks, including accusing the network of being "complicit in white supremacy" in a video where she lashed out at a co-host. GMA Michael Strahan.

Norman criticized Strahan for his interview with the parents of Nolan Wells, an 18-year-old boy found dead after celebrating Independence Day on Horn Island, a barrier island off the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. In the interview, Strahan asked why Nolan voluntarily remained on Horn Island.

GMA Weekend star Janay Norman has announced some major career news following her departure from the show.

«"Thank goodness Michael was right all along," Norman said in her video commentary. "The question should have been, 'Do you believe this?' Not asking these grieving parents to defend a decision we don't even know for sure their late son made. It wasn't an objective question. Subjectively, I'd say it was insensitive.".

She also accused news organizations of over-reliance on law enforcement as sources of reliable information and of lacking historical context for Mississippi, "the state with the most recorded lynchings in history.".

«"By ignoring this context, news organizations become complicit in maintaining white supremacy and, intentionally or unintentionally, ultimately fuel racial divisions," Norman said.
