The Magnolia Network co-founder shared a moment in an Instagram Reel posted on Tuesday, June 2, where she and her husband are goofing around while working on houses together. The hilarious clip begins with Joanna struggling to balance on a wooden plank, while Chip watches with a hilarious expression.
After a few spins and forward leans, demonstrating her balance, she curtsies, prompting her husband to repeat the same tricks.
«"I can spin around," he says before collapsing, adding, "I feel incredibly dizzy.".

After spreading his arms out to maintain his balance, he then presses his palms together, trying to concentrate. Eventually, he completes the rotation, and his wife says encouragingly in the background, "Good, good. That was your best trick.".
The sweet video also featured scenes of the couple, who celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on May 31st, bantering. At one point, Chip playfully throws a tennis ball at his wife as she struggles to maintain her balance, and then Joanna pokes her husband in the stomach.
«"All work, no play... until the 2x4 becomes a balance beam," Joanna captioned the post, adding the hashtag "FixerUpper," a reference to the popular home renovation franchise they run.
Chip and Joanna have been renovating homes together for over two decades, and in 2024 they celebrated the 10th anniversary of their program. Fixer Upper .
In a video posted to the Magnolia Network YouTube channel on Thursday, May 28, Joanna discussed how her design style evolved and why she was initially considered a "country decorator." The segment was taken from an episode of the network's anthology series,« Point of View: Designer Profile » 2022.

In the episode, she describes her farmhouse in Waco, Texas, which she says she and Chip bought around the same time the show aired. «Fixer Upper» , and explains how the design of her family home made people classify her into one particular style.
«I started doing more home renovations and honing my skills, and then the show came along. Fixer Upper »"," she says. "At the same time we started filming, we bought a farmhouse, and that's when I first saw what clapboard was.".
«"I think it's because my clients, when they saw the farmhouse, started saying, 'We want paneling, white paint, and brown floors.' So that part of our lives became imprinted, and even now I'm called a farmhouse interior designer," she adds with a laugh.
She also shares that her own style reflects more than just the rustic style people associate her with, and she doesn't like to be limited to just one aesthetic.

«"I think if people really knew me, they'd understand that I'm very particular about not being pigeonholed into any particular design style," she says. "The more you see my work, the more you notice how it evolves. Some of it is contemporary, some is old-world.".
She concludes by noting that when it comes to her clients, it's not about her own style. She says, "It's about helping others find their own style.".
