Daniel Radcliffe and Jonathan Groff have begun working on another joint project.
According to Deadline, the Tony Award-winning actors, who recently starred together in the acclaimed Broadway production of« Merrily We Roll Along» , will reunite in the film «Trust the Man» , which takes place during the Vietnam War.
This thriller from writer-director Will Graham follows an Army intelligence officer tasked with investigating the case of a decorated soldier with a mysterious wartime past. "As surveillance and interrogation intensify, the line between loyalty and obsession blurs, leading the two men into a dangerous and uncontrollable bond," reads the film's synopsis, according to Deadline.

The project was first announced in February, with Radcliffe and Lucas Hedges set to star. However, Hedges is reportedly no longer involved due to scheduling conflicts. Details about Groff's role in the film have not yet been released.
Radcliffe, 36, Groff, 41, and Lindsay Mendes have landed the lead roles in the critically acclaimed production of Stephen Sondheim's musical «Merrily We Roll Along» , which originally ran off-Broadway and premiered on Broadway from October 2023 to July 2024. Sony Pictures Classics released a film adaptation of the stage show in December 2025.
Over the course of filming the series, the trio of actors became so close that when Mendes, 43, married actor J. Alex Brinson in April 2024 in New York City, Radcliffe was the ring bearer and Groff performed the ceremony.
«"They've been with me from the very beginning of my relationship with my husband and have supported me throughout most of that period of my life," the Tony Award-winning actress told PEOPLE at the time. The three stars, she added, share a "deep and genuine" love and affection, which "makes working on the show so easy for us.".

In his acceptance speech at the 2024 Tony Awards, Groff thanked two of his co-stars from the musical. «Merrily» . "You're more than just old friends—you're soulmates," he said. "And I look forward to watching us change with each other for the rest of our lives.".

After this show, Groff played the role of Bobby Darin in the musical «Just in Time» last season. His next project will be the role of Rosalind in Shakespeare's play «As You Like It» in a production by the Royal Shakespeare Company. Groff will also star in the musical film «"Octet"» , which will be directed by his colleague according to "Hamilton"« Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Radcliffe is nominated for a Tony Award this year for his leading role in the play «"Every Brilliant Thing", which will run this spring at the Hudson Theatre. The father of one also recently starred in the NBC sitcom «The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins» .
