Katy Perry had an unforgettable evening in New York City on Monday night, celebrating the premiere of her new documentary,« Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris"» at Tribeca Festival.
In a conversation with the publication The Hollywood Reporter On the red carpet, Perry explained how this project differs from film "Katy Perry: Part of Me"« 2012, which offered a candid look into her personal life.

«"It doesn't feel like a documentary at all."« "Part of me"» . »This is a real concert for my fans all over the world,« she said. “I’ve only been to 91 places around the world—or even less, because I’ve been doing multiple concerts in the same place. But I want to go to India, the Philippines, Indonesia, other South Asian countries, Africa, all these places. I couldn’t afford to organize a concert there before because of financial constraints. And physically, I’m also a mother. So this is a chance for all of them to enjoy it.” «The Lifetimes »».
Directed by Paul Dugdale, the feature-length concert film chronicles Perry's The Lifetimes tour in support of her sixth studio album, 143. Filmed in Paris in November 2025, the sci-fi film featured Perry singing upside down, riding a winged creature and performing many of her biggest hits.
The singer also spoke about the difficulties she faced during the tour and what she believes helped her get through the tough times.
«"Maybe they forgot about my resilience," Perry told the publication. THR . "I think I'm very resilient, despite the constant surprises in my life. I move forward, even when the dogs bark.".
During the Q&A after the screening, Perry elaborated.
«"Last year was probably one of the hardest years of my life, I went through an incredible amount of hardship, there were days that were really, really, really, really tough," she said. "But I just kept going because I made a promise to my fans, to my daughter, to myself, and I made it through.".
Although she didn't mention the details, Perry and Orlando Bloom broke off their engagement in 2025. Perry also faced criticism after joining other celebrities on an 11-minute flight into space on Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin spacecraft.
The pop star also opened up about how much her life has changed since the start of the tour, especially regarding her relationship with Justin Trudeau.
«"Now, after 91 performances, I feel more balanced in many aspects of my life. I'm deeply in love. After that show, I met the love of my life," she said. "Finally, this support helps me feel truly whole.".
Trudeau joined Perry at the premiere, where the couple made their first red carpet appearance together. The former Canadian prime minister sang along throughout the screening, and the couple—whose romance rumors first surfaced in July 2025—held hands and kissed, before getting up to dance to the film's final song, "Firework.".
Meanwhile, Perry sat among the fans known as the KatyCats, singing along to the concert film. At one point, the power went out briefly, but it didn't dampen the lively atmosphere in the theater; in fact, it only intensified it.
As for future plans, the former judge American Idol is preparing to participate in summer festivals.
«"I just prepared a new program for my summer festivals, which kick off in Europe on June 18th in Santiago, Spain. I have over 20 performances planned," she said.
Perry will also perform at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony on June 12.
