VisionQuest showrunner Terry Matalas previously worked on the second and third seasons of Star Trek: Picard. Furthermore, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige told Inverse that he specifically invited Matalas because he was such a fan of the third season of Star Trek: Picard.
