When Michelle Pfeiffer agreed to star in in the film "Madison"« , she could not even imagine how much time she would have to spend in grief.

Several guest stars of the series "Pitt" have submitted their own nominations for the 2026 Emmy Awards after their names were not included on HBO's official list of nominees.
«"It never occurred to me what it would mean to grieve for three months," the Oscar-nominated actress told Gold Derby at the Paramount+ series' FYC event in North Hollywood, California, on Saturday. "[Season one] only covers six days, so the intensity of that grief is very intense.".
Calling that part of the months-long filming process "challenging," she added: "I knew I was going to have to deal with grief, but I don't think I realized how intense it would be.".
Pfeiffer plays Stacy Clyburn, a self-described "city girl" and the mother of a New York City family who travels to Montana's Madison Valley after a terrible tragedy turns their lives upside down.
The actress noted that "everyone cared about me," adding that the actors "just sensed what I was going through and knew when to come and support me.".
A series from the creator «Yellowstone» Taylor Sheridan's series premiered on the streaming platform on March 14, and filming for the second season has already been completed, though a premiere date has not yet been announced. A third season has also already been greenlit.
Pfeiffer joined her co-star, executive producer, and star Kurt Russell (Preston), as well as actors Beau Garrett (Abigail), Ella Chapman (Paige), and Matthew Fox (Paul), as well as executive producer and director Christina Alexandra Voros, for a panel discussion moderated by writer and podcast host Jessica Radloff.

Russell, who plays Pfeiffer's on-screen husband, had to film his scenes for season one just before filming began on season two due to a scheduling conflict with his series. «Monarch: Legacy of Monsters» .
«"Paramount believed it would be a good show and worth doing two seasons, so they allowed me to film the entire first season about three or four weeks before the second season started, and it worked out," the Emmy-nominated actor told Gold Derby. "And Michelle had to work the entire first season assuming I was going to play the role.".
«"Luckily, I know Kurt from the movie «"Tequila Sunrise"» , "And he always leaves a lasting impression, doesn't he? And I was so excited," Pfeiffer told Gold Derby. "Once he came up, I couldn't imagine anyone else in the role. So it was really easy for me to imagine him, his rhythm and humor. And, you know, when he's a little moody.".
«"It all worked out," as Russell put it, is putting it mildly. The series premiere became the most-watched first-season launch of any show created by Sheridan, garnering 8 million views in the first 10 days.
«"What surprised me most was how deeply this show resonated with people, and, surprisingly, with men," Pfeiffer said at the panel. "I think it gave people a way to just let out their emotions. And maybe, especially for men, they don't allow themselves to do that.".

Russell agreed that the show appealed to both men and women, and credited Sheridan's compelling writing for its success.
«"I think Taylor Sheridan is a wonderful writer. And I think we actors often get credit for things we don't deserve. When you have a great script, you just do it," he said at the panel. "That's something actors can't control.".
Although the prolific series creator wrote all six episodes of the first season, Voros directed the entire block. At the panel, Voros said she had to "pinch herself" because the material felt eerily familiar.
«"In history Madison "There were a lot of moments that felt very familiar to me," Voros told Gold Derby. "I grew up on the East Coast. I met my husband, who's a cowboy. I moved West. I discovered the West through his eyes. Through my travels West, I rediscovered parts of myself I didn't know existed as a city girl living in New York City.".
This multi-talented man also noted a deeply personal connection to the story's themes.
«"I lost my father 10 years ago," she added. "So the combination of reflections on loss and how we find parts of ourselves in the most unexpected places really touched me.".
Voros is not the only member of the team «Madison» , who experienced the loss of a parent. Chapman, who plays Stacey and Preston's youngest daughter, easily connected with her character's emotional arc.
«"I lost my father when I was 11," Chapman told Gold Derby. "I have three siblings and a mother who was widowed. Grief is such an interesting emotion because it starts somewhere and ends somewhere else, but it never goes away. So I think I understand her in that way, in how she navigated that journey.".
For Garrett, who plays the eldest daughter, the mother-daughter dynamic hit close to home.
«"I knew it would be important, but meeting Michelle gave it a whole new meaning," the actress told Gold Derby. "Also, the fact that I became a mother before this, and there's such a depth to it. I just hadn't worked as a mom before.".
Fox, who plays Preston's brother, found solace in both the landscape and his character's profession as a pilot.
«"The scripts really touched me. The action also takes place in a part of the world I know quite well. I grew up in northwest Wyoming," the actor from the series said. «"Lost »" on the panel. "All these images impressed me deeply. They seemed familiar, somehow like home. They were imbued with warmth and sincerity.".
Fox added that he grew up fishing with his two brothers, "and that relationship with Kurt was really interesting to me.".
Russell is also no stranger to ranch life, having moved to Colorado at the age of 26.
«"People would say to me, 'Well, that's the end of your time in the film industry,'" he told Gold Derby. "Actually, I was writing a lot at the time, so it didn't really bother me. I wasn't particularly worried about it. And the way things turned out, it didn't matter. And I was really, really glad I did it.".
«"Later, when I met Goldie [Hawn], I was really happy that she liked Colorado," he added. "And then, a couple of years later, we developed this place that we'd been developing for years, this ranch that we've been building and farming for the last, like, 40 years.".
While Pfeiffer has remained tight-lipped about the upcoming second season, Fox told Gold Derby that he's "looking forward to it," despite Paul not appearing in any of the new episodes.
«"I think the second season will be a little lighter and have more humor," he intrigued.
Regarding Abby and her budding relationship with Deputy Van Davis (Ben Schnetzer), Garrett shared some details.
«"I think these are two people who weren't meant to be together, but who are. And I think they're trying to find each other. Whether it will work out or not, it's hard to say.".
But they are trying.
Chapman hinted that Paige and her husband Russell's (Patrick J. Adams) adventures next season will involve "more comfortable shoes.".
«"So they're starting to adapt to their new surroundings," she said. "And I'll also hint that I think by the end they're going to fall in love with this place.".
Russell promised that the next part will be "really good.".
While the first season covers about a week, he noted that "in season two, the action expands a little bit in terms of time, and you'll see more of how people deal with the differences between New York and Montana.".
«And I will be there too,» he added, “in her dreams.”.
