Peter Krause returns to the family drama 11 years after it ended TV series "Parenthood"« this fall. And so, when TV Insider caught up with him (along with Sarah Ramos) to reminisce about TV series "Parenthood"« at the ATX TV festival at the end of May, we simply had to ask him about the series "Line of Fire"« .
«"It's also a family show," he said. "The family members are just different employees of federal agencies. The character I play works for the Secret Service. My wife, Hope Davis, is a federal marshal. Our daughter works for the FBI. I have another son who works for the Secret Service and may be having an affair with the president's daughter. And I have another son who works for the Justice Department. But we have our problems with each other, too.".
This will be Krause's first television role since leaving TV series "September 11"« in 2025, when his character, Captain Bobby Nash, died tragically.
The actor was drawn to Josh Safran's "very, very thoughtful script." "There were a lot of unexpected twists. I didn't expect much," he shared. "And it was a completely different character to play.".
As NBC reports, TV series "Line of Fire"« tells the story of "a family of law enforcement officers who overcome personal differences and professional boundaries while investigating cases for the FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, Secret Service, and the Department of Justice." "After a seemingly simple case turns into a deadly conspiracy, they must draw on their decades of experience protecting civilians and politicians to protect each other and bring the killer to justice… even if it means betraying their code of honor.".
In addition to Krause and Davis, the film stars Kat Canning, Tommy O'Brien, Taylor Bloom and Charlie Barnett.

I had a therapist who once said to me when I was talking about my dad, 'You know why your parents are so good at making you mad?' And he said, 'Because they programmed you to.' But that's the beauty of shows like this, because then you can be open and annoyed and all that, and still feel sorry for them.".
