Mick Jagger said he was "looking forward" to the Rolling Stones' return to the road. In an interview with BBC Radio 2 alongside Ronnie Wood, Jagger confirmed that the rock band does indeed plan to tour again in the future.
«"I'd love to tour," Jagger said. "I'm really looking forward to it." To temper expectations, he added, "I don't think it'll happen this year. But I hope it happens as soon as possible.".

Jagger's confirmation comes after the band apparently cancelled plans last year for a UK and European stadium tour scheduled for 2026. Last January, it was reported that the band had received several offers for summer shows, but these were rejected due to logistical issues with venues and travel, as well as prior commitments.
The Rolling Stones' final tour took place in 2024 in support of their album Hackney Diamonds , released in 2023, and included 20 concerts in North America. The tour was a large-scale undertaking, including rehearsals of over 60 songs from the band's repertoire after the album presentation in London and an impromptu concert in New York.
The band is preparing to release a new album Foreign Tongues July 10th. The album was recorded at London's Metropolis Studios with producer Andrew Watt, who worked on the album Hackney Diamonds . In addition to Jagger, Keith Richards, and Wood, the album features bassist Darryl Jones, keyboardist Matt Clifford, and drummer Steve Jordan. The album also features a performance by the late Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, recorded during one of his final sessions before his death in 2021. Guest artists on the album include Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith of The Cure, and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In an interview with BBC Radio 2, Jagger explained that the collaboration with Smith happened by chance at an industry event.
«"He had his back to me, wearing a long dress, and when he turned around, he was covered in lipstick," Jagger said. "And I said, 'You're Robert Smith from The Cure.' He said, 'Yeah, we've never met.' And I said, 'While you're here, you better do something.' That's how collaborations work sometimes.".
He added of McCartney: "We'd never played with him before. I'd sung with him before, but we'd never played an instrument. It was very exciting. He learned very quickly.".
